JOB TITLE: Senior Thermal Hardware Design Engineer

DSJ Global is currently partnered with a leading Automotive OEM who is looking to add a Senior Thermal Hardware Design Engineer. This role will be on the Powertrain Installation team leading the development and validation of thermal hardware for truck chassis and powertrain.
Senior Thermal Hardware Design Engineer Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor fellow Engineers as the component lead.
- Provide technical support in decision-making processes.
- Take ownership of component designs throughout their lifecycle.
- Coordinate with Design and Application Center to develop an efficient thermal management system.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality products, including heat exchangers, fluid lines, fans, and shrouds.
- Troubleshoot and validate designs effectively.
- Document best practices and create manuals.
Senior Thermal Hardware Design Engineer Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's Degree preferred).
- 5-8+ years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer.
- Deep understanding of physics principles related to heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics for EV systems.
- 5+ years of experience in thermal systems engineering, preferably in the EV automotive or Trucking Industry.
- Expertise in design documentation and product data management.
- Advanced CAD experience, preferably with PTC CREO.
- Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing.
