DSJ is currently partnered with one of the most recognized names in the Agricultural market that is looking to add a Senior Design Engineer to their team. This Senior Design Engineer will be focusing on the research, design and development of their industry leading products.
Responsibilities Include:
- Lay out product design using SolidWorks.
- Ensure accuracy and structural strength of design.
- Ensure proper fit-up of parts in assembly process.
- Determine and select best components to be used on each product designed, based on required specifications
- Set-up and structure complete and accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) for each manufactured part.
- Assist service department with troubleshooting mechanical failures
- Ensure implementation of product flows from design to actual production.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's Science Mechanical Engineering or Agricultural
- 3-8 years of relevant experience
- Proficient in Solid Works and Microsoft office programs
- Knowledge of 3-D wire frame construction
- Experience in design layouts, assembly drawings and component part drawings
- Knowledge of Stage gate - new management product development process
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of Bill of Materials, stress analysis, material selection and material sizing.
- DFMEA experience preferred
- Cross functional between departments
- Knowledge of engineering design standards
