Job Summary:
The Quality Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the highest level of product quality and compliance with regulatory standards. This position requires a dynamic individual with a strong background in chemical manufacturing and quality management. The Quality Manager will lead a team of quality professionals and implement processes to uphold our commitment to delivering safe and reliable chemical products to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance Leadership:
- Develop and execute the company's quality assurance strategy, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements, such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and other relevant industry standards.
Team Management:
- Lead and mentor a team of quality control and assurance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to team members.
Quality Control and Testing:
- Oversee the design and implementation of quality control processes and procedures throughout the production lifecycle.
- Coordinate and conduct quality inspections, testing, and audits to identify deviations and areas for improvement.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay updated on industry regulations and ensure the company's compliance with all relevant chemical safety and environmental regulations.
- Manage relationships with regulatory agencies and participate in audits and inspections.
Supplier and Vendor Quality:
- Collaborate with procurement teams to assess and monitor the quality of raw materials and components sourced from suppliers.
- Establish and maintain supplier quality standards and perform supplier audits as needed.
Continuous Improvement:
- Implement Lean Six Sigma and other quality improvement methodologies to enhance operational efficiency and product quality.
- Analyze data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans accordingly.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of quality control processes, test results, and compliance documentation.
- Generate reports for senior management, highlighting key quality metrics and trends.
Customer Relations:
- Work closely with the sales and customer support teams to address customer concerns, inquiries, and quality-related issues.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure their satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in quality management within the chemical manufacturing industry.
- Proficient knowledge of quality assurance standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to precision and accuracy.
- Experience with quality management software and tools is a plus.
- Certification in quality management (e.g., Certified Quality Manager) is desirable.
