The Production Supervisor undertakes various responsibilities across Manufacturing Departments daily, encompassing scheduling, staffing, machine operation, inspection, and overseeing special projects. They collaborate closely with customer service to meet customer requests and coordinate with the shipping department to ensure prompt production of rush orders to meet shipping deadlines. Additionally, this role demonstrates leadership in Continuous Improvement, ISO/BRC quality systems, innovation, safety, and leveraging current systems technology
This Supervisor will eventually move into a full time Management role for the Production team.
Key Responsibilities for Production Supervisor:
- Lead, mentor, and train Manufacturing staff to foster a culture of continuous improvement and efficiency.
- Assess staffing levels and workflow to optimize productivity and recommend improvements as needed.
- Monitor production schedules and output to ensure adherence to standards and quality.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and maintain quality systems and standard work.
- Collaborate in the selection and development of production methods and equipment.
- Conduct departmental meetings and provide supervision support as necessary.

Education, Skills, and Experience:
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Required: 2 or more years in a similar leadership role.
- Required: Ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform physical tasks as required.
- Required: Strong mathematical, reading, and writing skills.
- Preferred: Previous experience with Lean Manufacturing and ISO/BRC quality systems.
