Currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Manager to join a fast paced collaborative team in Oak Brook, IL. Our client operates within the ingredient manufacturing sector for private label foods- the focus of this role is within corn sweeteners, syrups, and other derivatives with plans to broaden the portfolio. They are looking for an individual who will oversee risk management, logistics, quality control while keeping up-to-date on market trends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field
- 5+ years of experience working as a procurement manager or similar role
- Strong background knowledge of food & beverage industry
Skills:
- Excellent negotiation skills when dealing with suppliers to secure favorable prices for goods needed by the company.
- Knowledgeable about supply chain processes including inventory management that includes forecasting techniques required to ensure smooth delivery at all times.
- Ability to identify potential risks related specifically towards strategic sourcing initiatives whilst developing effective mitigation measures against them ensuring continuity throughout operations cycle.
- Ensuring FDA compliance regulations necessary standards relating both product safety protocols such as HACCP certification; data-driven decision-making through SAP system implementation.
