Procurement Manager Fuel Cells - Fribourg, Austria
- A global market leader in the automotive sector are seeking several procurement managers to join a new procurement function focusing on new energies and fuel cells.
- My client employees over 30, 000 people in over 25 countries globally, with revenues in excess of โฌ8 billion. They focus on clean energy systems, exterior systems and front-end modules.
Plan:
- The Commodity Buyer is responsible to identify and develop a robust supply base for his/her
- Commodity Buyer is responsible to define and implement strategies for a given portfolio
- Support cross functional teams (supply chain, program buyers, other departments)
Responsibilities:
- Be accountable for the respect and application of Global Purchasing procedures
- Build and share the reporting of his activities
- Business Intelligence
- Gather important market information for the Purchasing scope in his/her scope of
- responsibility
- Identify potential suppliers on the market for the current and future needs of PO NE and Supply base management
- Establish trustful and long-term relationship with selected suppliers
- Conduct suppliers' capability studies by performing on-sight evaluation audits with Engineering and Quality teams
- Manage the suppliers accounts creations and maintenance
- Develop the supply base to reach state of the art level in all PO NE activities fields (automotive, trucks, buses, railway, etcโฆ)
- Support partnerships and strengthen close relationships with key suppliers
- Monitor suppliers' performance via Score cards, Suppliers Management Quality Reviews (SMQR), Management meetingsโฆ
- Commodities strategies
- Establish, share and implement commodities strategies for his/her Purchasing scope in accordance with PO Group policy and Purchasing policy
- Build and maintain up-to-date cost models for his/her commodities
- Encourage suppliers to promote and provide innovative solutions
- Develop TCO approach
- Sourcing & Programs Management
- Manage transversal projects for the commodities in his/her scope
- Support program buyers negotiations through transversal & global approach
- Support sourcing decisions according to identified needs, suppliers performances and skills,
- and defined strategy
- Contractual Management
- Manage the contractual relationship, including but not limited to intellectual property, payments terms & conditions, etcโฆ in the interest of PO NE
- Responsible to work with legal department to insure the legal soundness of the contractual relationships between PO NE and its supply base, within scope assigned
- Lead cost improvement ideas generation to implementation by working directly with all internal stakeholders and suppliers to drive cost reductions
- Contribute to company competitiveness improvement
- Negotiate competitive conditions and LTAs agreements with suppliers
- Ensure PO NE will have access to products & services according to needs and at preferred conditions in terms of pricing and quality
- Implement and respect the objectives fixed by Purchasing Management
- Attend and/or lead workshops for Purchasing continuous improvement
- Participate to the budget construction for the year N+1
Requirements:
- High school diploma + 2 years
- 3 year's experience in purchasing area (preferably in the automotive sector) or relevant.
- Strong negotiator
- Fluency in foreign language(s) business level, English is a Must, German is a Plus
- Strong organisational skills and prioritise tasks to meet department objectives with timely
- manner
- Complete multiple activities concurrently
- Having innovation and openness to change
- Master pack office and SAP
