Job Description:
As a Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement activities of the organisation, ensuring that the company obtains quality products and services at competitive prices. You will manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and work closely with various departments to meet the company's procurement needs efficiently and cost-effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet business objectives.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conduct supplier audits, and manage supplier relationships.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to ensure the best possible outcomes for the company.
- Monitor and manage procurement budgets, ensuring cost-efficiency and adherence to financial targets.
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand their procurement needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Oversee the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, supplier performance, and contract compliance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards in all procurement activities.
- Analyse market trends and conditions to forecast material availability and pricing.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within [industry/sector].
- Proven experience in negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.
- Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
