Lead all plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality, safety, administration, warehouse, and sanitation. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, promote safety, and manage operations within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee plant operations to meet budget and expenditure targets.
- Evaluate performance against standards and optimize costs.
- Ensure timely and accurate product shipments and maintain inventory levels.
- Hire, train, and develop plant staff.
- Lead safety initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and improve warehouse operations.
- Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, and Quality teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Analyze productivity and cost data.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of plant management experience in the food industry.
- Experience with labor unions and collective bargaining.
- Strong report writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of food manufacturing processes and food safety.
- Proficiency with statistical and analytical tools.
- Understanding of financial drivers and regulatory requirements in food processing.
- Familiarity with SQF or related GFSI standards.
