Operations Manager - Freight
Our client is currently seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join a leading Logistics company based in the picturesque province in the Netherlands. Our client is one of the leading freight companies globally and has been providing innovative logistics solutions for over 50 years. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone with proven experience in managing freight logistics, who wants to work within one of Europe's leading companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily activities related to shipping, receiving, warehousing and distribution
- Ensure compliance with local regulations pertaining to transportation safety standards
- Develop strategies that improve operational efficiency by reducing costs while maintaining high-quality services.
- Create SOP's (standard operating procedures) based on industry best practices
Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years' experience working within freight management or logistics environments. Additionally, we are searching for individuals with strong communication skills coupled with demonstrated leadership abilities.
Skills required include but not limited to;
- Strong knowledge of regional transport routes
- Ability use data analytics software such as SAP etc
- Familiarity Microsoft Office Suite programs including Excel spreadsheets
- Good level of English Language
