DSJ Global is looking for an experienced Operations Manager with a passion for lean management and positive change. Our client is a Dutch specialist within industrial chemicals active in over 150 companies. you will be the Site Manager's right hand on-site and responsible for key operational processes, making a major impact on key KPIs such as safety, quality, productivity, delivery performance and people.
Your task as Operations Manager:
You are responsible for the operation of the production, internal logistics and scheduling department.
You provide substantiated input for improving the operational processes and implement these improvements together with your team.
You are project leader of various improvement projects within the departments to increase productivity, with the support of your colleagues (CI, Maintenance, Quality, HSE, HR).
Within the framework of the annual budget, you prepare the annual FTE planning in function of expected volumes and follow it up monthly.
You follow compliance with safety, environment and quality regulations and you have an exemplary role within the organization.
You are the contact person for the trade union delegation with regard to questions about the various departments.
You are part of the local management team and report to the Site Manager.
Experience you have:
DSJ is looking for a results-driven people manager with a focus on process optimization, people and a high sense of urgency.
You can fall back on strong managerial experience in a "challenging" production environment of at least 5 years to 10 years.
Lean thinking is in your blood and you apply the associated principles very consistently. Operational excellence is not a concept but part of your DNA.
You are commited to deliver and naturally possess a high sense of urgency. Shown in the way you proactively and reactively deal with challenges that arise. In this you take your team in tow, including the necessary coaching using situational management.
You have a drive to solve problems quickly and structurally. It is in your nature to safeguard processes.
You have experience with successfully guiding change processes and dealing with related resistance has few secrets for you.
You are fluent in the Dutch language and have at least a good knowledge of English.
