Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in engineering or maintenance within steel manufacturing
- Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office, and steel making operations
- Expertise in Electric Arc Furnace and related systems maintenance
- Strong communication and project management skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of Reliability Engineering Practices
- Experience with Predictive Maintenance techniques
Desired Qualifications:
- 10+ years of steel manufacturing experience
- SAP Plant Maintenance familiarity
Responsibilities:
- Lead Mechanical Engineering efforts for the new facility, ensuring optimal operability and maintenance design
- Conduct quality reviews of mechanical equipment manufacturing and installation during construction
- Develop and execute Equipment Maintenance Programs for various systems
- Provide technical support throughout project phases and commissioning
- Establish technical standards for equipment procurement and modification
- Prepare and present reports on project progress and findings
- Ensure safety standards are met and assist in investigations when necessary
- Lead improvement programs and project groups
- Optimize equipment quality, cost, reliability, and performance
- Coordinate personnel and uphold company values
Work Environment:
- Office and Industrial settings within the Steel Making facility
- Initial construction involvement for approximately 2 years
- Monday to Friday schedule with extended hours as needed
