DSJ Global is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Manager to join the team of one of our esteemed clients. Our client operates within the life sciences sector with an emphasis on pharmaceutical manufacturing, making this role perfect for someone passionate about healthcare innovation.
Responsibilities:
As a logistics manager at DSJ Global's client company, you will be responsible for overseeing transportation and warehouse operations while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. You will also work closely with other departments such as procurement and production planning to maintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing costs associated with supply chain management.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain Management or related field.
- Minimum 5 years experience working in transport/logistics roles
- Previous managerial/supervisory experience required
- Excellent communication skills
Skills Required:
The ideal candidate should possess expertise/experience across these areas -
- Transportation Operations - Familiarity managing inbound/outbound freight movements (domestic/international); coordinating shipments between vendors; ability to negotiate pricing & contracts etc.,
- Warehouse Operations - Experience leading a team of 30+ in a warehousing or distribution setting,
- Inventory Control - Experience maintaining accurate records using ERP software systems including tracking deliveries against purchase orders/invoices,
- Compliance Management - Knowledgeable regarding industry standards/regulations governing safety requirements around hazardous materials handling/storage/transit etc.,
- Budgeting/Cost Analysis abilities - Ability preparing budgets/projections based upon data from various sources like sales reports/demand trends/market analysis,
