Job Description:
As a Logistics Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing supply chain operations to ensure timely delivery of products while minimizing costs and maximizing efficiency. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, warehousing, and transportation to streamline processes and enhance overall logistics performance.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize supply chain operations and meet business objectives.
- Analyze and evaluate logistical data to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Design and implement inventory management systems to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize carrying costs.
- Collaborate with production and procurement teams to coordinate material flow and ensure timely availability of components and raw materials.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and mitigate risks in the supply chain.
- Provide support for logistics-related issues and troubleshoot any operational challenges that may arise.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in logistics and supply chain management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in logistics, supply chain management, or related field, preferably in the manufacturing or technology industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make strategic recommendations.
- Knowledge of ASRS
- Proficiency in logistics software and tools such as ERP systems, warehouse management systems, and transportation management systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across different departments and levels of the organization.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Relevant certifications such as APICS (Association for Supply Chain Management) or Six Sigma are desirable.
