Overview: As a 3PL Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing third-party logistics (3PL) operations to ensure efficient transportation, distribution, and fulfilment of products. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to optimize supply chain processes, enhance efficiency, and meet customer requirements. Your role will involve strategic planning, vendor management, process improvement, and team leadership to drive exceptional performance within the logistics function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
- Analyze market trends, industry developments, and technological advancements to enhance the efficiency and competitiveness of logistics operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align logistics strategies with overall business objectives.
- Vendor and Partner Management:
- Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with 3PL partners, carriers, and vendors to ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and quality standards.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with logistics partners to achieve cost-effective solutions while maintaining service quality.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and implement improvement initiatives with partners to enhance operational efficiency.
- ProcessOptimization:
- Continuously assess and improve logistics processes, identifying opportunities for cost reduction, improved performance, and enhanced customer satisfaction.
- Implement best practices in inventory management, order fulfilment, and supply chain logistics to streamline operations.
- Utilize data analytics and technology tools to optimize routing, scheduling, and inventory management for improved efficiency.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within the logistics team.
- Collaborate with HR for recruitment, onboarding, and skill development initiatives to ensure a capable and motivated workforce.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and safety protocols in logistics operations.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain, including disruptions, compliance issues, and security concerns.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CSCP, CLTD) is a plus.
