General Summary
A leading Automotive OEM company is currently seeking a Lead Systems Verification Engineer who will focus on development of new vehicle electrical and electronics systems. This candidate will support the build of test vehicles and implementing solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Update software and hardware for test vehicles
- Investigate and solve functional issues
- Take measurements in the electrical system and log data for troubleshooting
- Collaborate with development engineers to resolve problems
- Offer solutions and feedback to local and global development teams
- Report defects in vehicle electronic systems
- Conduct tests for road approval of test vehicles
- Assist in design implementation through training and knowledge sharing
- Maintain and update fault tracing databases
- Provide feedback on the test truck build process and suggest improvements
- Guide other engineers in root cause analysis
The Ideal Candidate will have
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Master's preferred
- 8-12+ years of experience in commercial vehicle system verification or electrical system design
- Expertise in CAN communication protocols and analysis tools
- Experience in automotive electrical and electronics development and diagnostics
- Familiarity with vehicle controller software tools and sensor technology
- Knowledge of wiring harness manufacturing and repair
- Advanced troubleshooting skills in commercial vehicle electrical systems
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed
