Job Title: Electrical Engineer - HYBRID (3 days on-site, 2 days remote)

A fast-paced, high-energy electronics manufacturer is seeking talented engineers to assist in the launch of new sustainable products to market. This organization is seeking to develop new technologies in electric motors, power electronics and smart connected devices that reduce energy of flow machines (pumps, fans, compressors) as much as 50%.
The Electrical Engineer, EMD is responsible for the engineering, design, and validation of electrical hardware of new cutting-edge motor-drive topologies. This position will be accountable for power electronics circuits, power supplies, PCBs for control, I/O and serial/ethernet/wireless communication. S/he will coordinate with internal teams, external manufacturing partners, universities, and 3rd party certification agencies to achieve program goals.
Essential Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and verify electronic circuits for power electronic products
- Perform system level design and integration of electronic circuits, associated control and interface circuits
- Lead PCB (gate driver, gate drive power supply, flyback power supply, I/O, etc.) design review and test through the whole product development cycle
- Create test procedures to verify hardware & firmware designs
- Evaluate and debug circuit design; perform root cause analysis and identify solutions
- Interact with customers and project partners relating to program goals
- Maintain organizational standards of quality and performance
- Prepare technical reports on results and design decisions
- Travel < 20%
Position Requirements
- B.S./M.S. degree, in Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years in Electrical Engineering, preference with motor-drive experience
- Design of PCBs with Altium and Hyperlynx is required
- Design of power supplies, single board computer PCBs, wireless systems
- Experience with advance topologies and design of power electronics circuits
- Strong hands-on hardware and software development with C/C++
- Understanding of FPGAs and programming in VHDL
- Knowledge of industry safety standards
