This company is an industry-leading manufacturer of innovative dairy-based nutritional ingredients. They are currently expanding their EHS functions as new plants are opening - allowing more opportunity with overseeing 2 locations in this function!
Responsibilities:
- Monitor the facility's compliance of all company EHS standards, along with federal/state/local regulations
- Develop compliance plans for air and water permits
- Manage WPDES permits
- Develop EHS programs
- Manage loss prevention programs
- Utilize IH equipment to determine exposures to noise and air contaminants
- Maintain all required EHS program records and legal documents
- Inspect plant regularly for unsafe conditions of equipment, process and facility
- Conduct new employee EHS orientations
- Develop relationships with outside regulators (including fire, police, wastewater and WDNR officials)
- Participate in all safety activities taking place at facility including observations, inspections, training and audits
- Lead site Safety Committee
- Lead site Safety/GMP audit team
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Environmental, Health and Occupational Safety
- ASP, CSP, CIH (or other related certificates) preferred
- 5-7 years' work experience in a manufacturing setting working with EHS programs
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
- Strong knowledge of computer software applications
- Knowledge of OSHA, EPA and DNR regulations
