Company Summary: A market leader in consumer goods is seeking a highly motivated an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join their team in Dresden. The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for optimizing supply chain operations, ensuring efficient material flow, reducing costs, and enhancing the overall performance of the supply chain. You will play an integral role in driving success by implementing best practices and innovative solutions.
The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for:
- Develop, implement, and continuously refine the E2E supply chain strategy aligned with the company's objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of supply chain activities.
- Implement inventory control procedures to minimize carrying costs while ensuring product availability.
- Monitor stock levels and collaborate with procurement to manage supply chain inventory effectively
- Analyze market trends and customer demand to develop accurate forecasts.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to ensure demand planning is aligned with business needs.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions to optimize supplier performance and cost savings.
- Oversee the logistics and distribution process, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery to customers.
- Evaluate and optimize the transportation network, including selecting carriers and negotiating contracts.
- Identify areas for process improvements
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and report on supply chain performance.
- Lead and mentor a team of 6 supply chain professionals.
- Provide guidance and support to ensure the team meets operational and strategic goals.
The Supply Chain Manager should have the following qualifications:
- Proven experience in Supply Chain or other relevant experience.
- Leadership experience
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Fluent in English and German
