Position Overview:
The Director of Supply Chain Management will play a crucial role in optimizing our supply chain operations to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and seamless coordination across all stages of the supply chain process. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership abilities, extensive experience in high-volume manufacturing environments, and a deep understanding of end-to-end supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Team Management: Provide strategic direction and leadership to the supply chain team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Mentor and develop team members, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Supply Chain Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to optimize the end-to-end supply chain process, including procurement, production planning, inventory management, and logistics.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction, driving operational excellence throughout the supply chain.
- Vendor Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors, negotiating favorable terms and agreements to ensure reliable supply and optimal pricing.
- Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions as needed to address any issues or discrepancies.
- Inventory Control: Oversee inventory management practices to minimize excess inventory and optimize inventory turnover rates.
- Implement robust inventory control measures to ensure accuracy and reliability in inventory tracking and reporting.
- Demand Planning and Forecasting: Collaborate with sales, marketing, and production teams to develop accurate demand forecasts and production plans.
- Utilize forecasting tools and techniques to anticipate demand fluctuations and mitigate potential supply chain disruptions.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards governing supply chain operations.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, implementing contingency plans to address potential disruptions or emergencies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven leadership experience in a high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment, with a minimum of 7 years in a senior supply chain management role.
- Global Supply Chain Experience preferred with the ability to manage various facilities/sites
- Extensive end-to-end supply chain experience, including procurement, production planning, inventory management, warehousing, and logistics.
- Previous experience in industrial manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, or heavy manufacturing industries preferred.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functional areas and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
