We are looking for a Director of Purchasing for a rapidly growing Residential Construction company. The role will encompass managing all aspects of Purchasing, orchestrating cross-functional teams, and ensuring procurement processes align with the overarching strategic objectives. We're seeking a seasoned professional who excels in Purchasing within the Residential Construction space.
The role is being offered as onsite in the Tampa, FL area, and will offer a competitive base salary ranging from $120k-$200k.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Procurement strategies in alignment with company objectives.
- Purchase direct materials and negotiate with vendors to get best rates.
- Lead cross-functional teams in executing strategic initiatives across various markets.
- Conduct RFPs/RFIs, vendor sourcing, and negotiations to optimize supplier relationships.
- Create and Manage POs.
- Develop material and operational strategies through our vendor base to drive efficiency and quality.
- Ensure procurement processes adhere to regulatory standards and company policies.
Requirements:
- 5-10+ years of experience in Procurement in Construction/Building Materials industry.
- Proven track record of managing direct categories with annual spends exceeding $50 million.
- Ability to handle purchasing projects of large volume.
- Expertise in market analysis, vendor evaluation, and negotiation tactics.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools for procurement and supply chain management.
