Director of Packaging Development
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute packaging strategies that enhance product integrity, sustainability, and consumer appeal across all product lines.
- Lead a team of packaging engineers and designers in creating innovative and cost-effective packaging solutions.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, Marketing, Operations, and Quality Assurance to ensure alignment and successful execution of packaging projects.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize packaging efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and improve cost-effectiveness.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies in packaging materials and processes.
- Manage relationships with packaging suppliers and contract manufacturers to ensure high-quality and timely delivery of packaging materials.
- Develop and manage departmental budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation effectively.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in packaging development within the consumer packaged goods industry, preferably in Food and Beverage
- Proven track record of successfully launching new packaging solutions that align with brand values and regulatory requirements.
- Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Deep knowledge of packaging materials, design principles, and sustainability practices.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and drive innovative solutions.
