Director of Logistics (M/F/D)

This pivotal role requires a proactive individual fluent in German with experience in managing a large workforce and workers' councils.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee Site Operations: Manage all aspects of site management, ensuring efficient and effective operations across the facility.
- Warehouse Management: Supervise warehouse operations, ensuring optimal inventory control, storage, and distribution processes.
- Logistics Coordination: Coordinate logistics activities to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
- Team Leadership: Lead and inspire a team of 1500 Full-Time Employees (FTEs), fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Workers' Council Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for the workers' council, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
- Performance Optimization: Continuously assess and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards, maintaining a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Fluency in German: Must be fluent in German, both written and spoken, to effectively communicate with staff and stakeholders.
- Experience with Workers' Councils: Demonstrated experience working with workers' councils, with a strong understanding of labor laws and regulations.
- Leadership Skills: Proven leadership experience in managing large teams, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Operational Expertise: Strong background in site management, warehouse operations, and logistics within the retail industry.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail to ensure efficient operations.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
