Position Overview:
As our business experiences exponential growth, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join us as the Country Lead Buyer for Construction, Renovations, and Maintenance, with a focus on Technical Services. This role involves managing multiple sites across the region, overseeing procurement activities related to construction, renovations, maintenance, and technical services projects.
Responsibilities:
- Site Management:
- Oversee construction, renovation, and maintenance projects, including technical services, across multiple sites on a country/regional scale.
- Ensure adherence to high-quality standards and compliance with safety regulations.
- Procurement:
- Lead the purchasing efforts for all capital expenditures related to construction, renovations, maintenance, and technical services.
- Manage the procurement of maintenance, repairs, operational parts, and technical equipment.
- Technical Services:
- Collaborate with technical teams to understand and address specific requirements for projects.
- Coordinate the procurement of technical services, ensuring alignment with project timelines and specifications.
- Supplier Management:
- Travel to multiple production sites to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts and terms to secure the best value for the organisation.
Requirements:
- Experience:
- Proven experience in managing multiple sites for construction, renovation, maintenance, and technical services across different categories.
- Minimum of 5 years of purchasing experience on a local/regional scale.
- Skills:
- Strong project management skills with a focus on delivering results on time and within budget.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with technical services and equipment procurement.
