A leading food wholesaler is seeking an experienced and dynamic Category Manager to join their team in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Supply chain management - The ideal candidate should have proven skills managing supply chains effectively while ensuring smooth operations from suppliers through production facilities all the way up till delivery to customers.
Strategic thinking - A strategic thinker who can analyze market trends strategically identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality standards
Communication - Excellent communication skills both written and verbal; ability to communicate effectively across different levels including senior executives internally/externally
Negotiation Skills - Strong negotiation abilities when dealing with vendors/suppliers on pricing, contracts terms etc.
Leadership Abilities: Demonstrated leadership qualities such as inspiring others towards achieving common goals by leading teams efficiently
Qualifications:
- 5+ years procurement experience in Food & Beverage Industry
- Experience leading a team
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Procurement, Supply Chain Management or relevant field
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
- Ability to manage multiple projects and strong organizational skills
