Key Responsibilities:
Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscapes within the contract logistics industry in the Netherlands.
Business Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to drive growth and achieve revenue targets in the contract logistics sector.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Identify opportunities for up selling and cross-selling contract logistics services.
New Business Acquisition: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including lead generation, proposal development, and contract negotiation.
Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, finance, and marketing, to ensure the successful execution of contract logistics solutions.
Networking: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to expand the company's presence and foster new business relationships.
Reporting: Provide regular reports on business development activities, pipeline status, and key performance indicators to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience (5+ years) in business development within the logistics service industry.
- Strong understanding of contract logistics services and industry trends.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Results-oriented with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Fluency in English and Dutch is required.
