DSJ Global is currently partnered with a global organization that is looking to bring on a Associate Logistics Manager. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in inventory, warehousing, and quality assurance.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaboration with Commercial Leadership and Functional Management: Serve as the primary point of contact between various departments, including Sales, Quality, Customs and Compliance, Transportation, and Regulatory, to facilitate both day-to-day operations and long-term strategy for the RIGS Portfolio.
- Financial Oversight of 3PL Partner: Manage the financial performance of the third-party logistics (3PL) partner, focusing on cost efficiency and ensuring compliance with the commercial service agreement.
- Warehouse Operations Management: Take charge of all aspects of warehouse operations, encompassing the receipt, storage, retrieval, and delivery of finished goods while adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). This entails maintaining inventory control and addressing any operational discrepancies.
- Customer Service Excellence: Guarantee the precise and efficient fulfillment of customer orders by the 3PL, including catering to any specific customer requests such as custom labeling, documentation, and order preparation.
- Budgeting and Cost Management: Set strategic goals by preparing an annual budget in collaboration with 3PL partners. This process involves analyzing opportunities for cost savings and implementing corrective actions as necessary. Additionally, ensure that facility supplies and equipment stay within the allocated budget.
- Supervision of 3PL Rigs Lab Testing Technicians: Maintain responsibility for the successful performance of the 3PL's Rigs Lab testing technicians.
Desired Qualifications:
To excel in this role, we seek candidates with the following qualifications:
- Leadership Experience: A proven track record with 3-5 years of leadership or management experience.
- 3PL Environment Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in managing operations within a third-party logistics (3PL) setting.
- Quality Control or Electrical Insulation Expertise: Knowledge or experience in quality control (QC) inspections or electrical insulating tests would be an advantage.
- Budget Management Competence: Demonstrated ability to effectively manage budgets.
- Warehouse Management Systems Familiarity: Experience with multiple Tier 1 Warehouse Management Systems is desirable.
