Role Overview: The client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to join the team in Stockholm. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business growth through strategic sales initiatives, cultivating key accounts, and fostering long-term partnerships within the port and ocean freight industry. With a focus on maximising revenue opportunities and expanding the companies market presence, the Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the company's success in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans to achieve sales targets and objectives.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the port and ocean freight sector, leveraging industry knowledge and market insights.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of projects and services, meeting customer expectations and maintaining operational excellence.
- Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, customer preferences, and growth opportunities.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to promote services and expand the companies network of contacts.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and sales pitches to prospective clients, showcasing the value proposition of the clients port operations and services.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or account management within the port or ocean freight industry.
- Strong understanding of port operations, logistics, and supply chain management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry professionals.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities, solve complex problems, and drive results.
- Prior experience in marketing or market research would be advantageous.
- Fluent in English and Swedish both written and spoken.
