Job Title: Indirect Procurement Director

Job Summary:
I am currently seeking an experienced and strategic Indirect Procurement Director to oversee and manage the procurement activities in an exciting growing energy company in Germany. As the Indirect Procurement Director, you will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies that optimize costs, increase efficiency, and support business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with business objectives, optimize costs, and increase efficiency.
- Lead the procurement team and oversee all procurement activities, including sourcing, negotiation, contracting, and supplier management.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure the availability of quality goods and services at competitive prices.
- Manage the procurement budget and track cost savings and procurement performance metrics.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities within the procurement function, including process improvements, cost savings, and supplier management enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and legal requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as Finance, Legal, and Operations, to ensure alignment of procurement strategies with overall business objectives.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the procurement team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in indirect procurement, with a proven track record of success in developing and implementing procurement strategies.
- Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective procurement strategies.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in German and English.
- Experience with procurement systems and tools, such as e-sourcing, contract management, and spend analytics.
- Knowledge of German procurement regulations and laws.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to work collaboratively with suppliers to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
