Vice President - Biotechnology Supply Chain & Manufacturing

Our client, a unique and leading biopharma organization is looking to expand their supply chain and manufacturing team and hire a Head of Supply Chain & Manufacturing that will oversee the E2E supply chain process and manufacturing of their cell therapy products. Our client is looking for/needing experience within cell therapy or gene therapy given the kind of expertise they are looking for.
The Vice President - Supply Chain & Manufacturing is a newly created position within the business and will report directly to the executive leadership team and will be responsible for also growing the supply chain & manufacturing teams. This candidate will be groomed to promote within the next 5 years for an executive position (at the C suite level) within the company. Given our client is a mid-sized organization, they are looking for someone with ideally a mix of experience in large and small sized companies, has a "self-starter" mentality, and is not afraid to roll up their sleeves to get things done!
The Vice President - Supply Chain & Manufacturing will:
- Manage the organization's supply chain staff activities to ensure optimum inventory levels and inventory turns
- Translate clinical protocol information into demand forecasts and supply strategies
- Experience handling regulatory inspections with authorities such as FDA or EMA
- Determine, develop and guide Supply Chain & Manufacturing organizational initiatives to support continuous improvement of supply chain & manufacturing processes, infrastructure, and people
- Lead a team of 20 individuals across supply chain & manufacturing
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements for all investigational and marketed products
- Represent Technical Operations on business case development for geographical expansion, coordination of clinical trial expansion readiness
- Work with other business Heads to meet corporate goals
The Vice President - Supply Chain & Manufacturing has the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Supply Chain, or Engineering (MBA preferred)
- 15+ years of experience with supply chain in a biotech / pharmaceutical environment (required)
- 2+ years of experience within the cell therapy industry (required)
