Our client, a leading player in the Heavy Industrial sector, is seeking a Strategic Buyer (m/f/d) to join their team in Marburg, Germany. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the procurement function, ensuring the delivery of technical materials such as electronics, metals and mechanics.
Key Responsibilities:
* Directs the procurement function, ensuring the delivery of technical materials such as electronics, metals and mechanics
* Develops and implements procurement strategies, policies, and procedures to support the organization's objectives.
* Manages supplier relationships, negotiating contracts and agreements to ensure the best possible terms and conditions.
* Works closely with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure that procurement activities are aligned with business needs.
* Identifies opportunities for cost savings and process improvements, driving continuous improvement initiatives across the procurement function.
* Manages the procurement team, providing leadership, coaching, and development to ensure high levels of performance.
Key Skills:
* Experience in a procurement role, ideally within the Heavy Industrial sector.
* Strong knowledge of procurement processes, tools, and techniques.
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Skills:
* Experience working in Germany.
* Knowledge of the Industrial sector.
* Fluency in German.
