Senior Quality Manager Needed for an automotive defense manufacturer!

The Quality Manager will be responsible for ensuring the successful production and delivery quality of manufactured products at the production facility. The Quality Manager will work with the leadership team to ensure that the company's requirements, product and IATF16949 / AS9100 standards, and best practices are successfully implemented and managed with the supplier's Quality Management System. The Quality Manager will lead, support, and audit the supplier's QMS performance and product quality; support Quality activities related to product quality standards, risk assessment, process control plans, corrective and preventive action, and continuous improvement.
Sr. Quality Manager Qualifications:
- 4+ years Quality Management experience
- 8+ years quality experience in Automotive or Defense manufacturing field required
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related required
- Working-knowledge of ISO IATF 16949 and the AIAG Automotive Core Tools
- LEAN Six Sigma Certification and/or experience
- Strong knowledge of quality control in assembly processes
- Ability to work cross-functionally with different functions at the plant
Sr. Quality Manager Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the on-site team to ensure successful execution of the product
- Ensure alignment on quality best systems across the organization
- Support and coach suppliers with Quality planning with the Program Plan
- Implement AIAG Advanced Product Quality Planning ("APQP") Process Design and Development
- Issue Corrective Action Requests
- Implement continuous improvement in the facility
