The Sr. Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for:
- Execute detailed 3D design to support development of all HW prototypes and products
- Problem solve: Collaborate, research ideas/topics independently, and develop a plan for execution for the problems you'll encounter during design and execution phases
- Lead and drive JDM and manufacturing partners on the requirements of our components/systems
- Lead design reviews with partners, troubleshoot issues to successful conclusion, ramp up custom mechanical parts/systems for mass production, audit and improve FATP fixtures and SOP, support FATP for all builds and ino mass production, and support/solve issues raised by the installation team
- Document parts and assemblies with 2D drawings, BOM, SOP, and SIP to support fabrication and assembly
- Ensure all parts meet regulatory, environmental, safety, reliability, and cosmetic quality control requirements
- Develop reliability plans and drive its execution to meet industry standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional team to ensure system and device goals and requirements are met
The Sr. Mechanical Engineer would have the following qualifications:
- 3+ years experience in modeling/simulation/validation with PhD; 10+ years of relevant experience if BSME
- 3D CAD experience required, top-down design using Creo preferred
- CAE in structural, dynamic, and thermal electric simulation, ANSYS preferred
- Familiar with medium and high-volume manufacturing processes
