Supply Chain Leader needed for a Global Electronics Manufacturing Services Provider

One of the world's fastest growing electronics manufacturing services provider is looking for a Supply Chain Leader to head their rapidly expanding team!
The Supply Chain Leader will establish, enforce, and monitor processes to progress the supply chain and material processes for the Business Unit. This individual will take a lead role in interfacing with our strategic suppliers and leveraging the relationships for continuous improvement of inventory velocity and product costing. The Supply Chain Leader will report directly to the Vice President/ General Manager.
Supply Chain Leader will have the following responsibilities:
- Train and mentor a team of dedicated Materials, Planning, Procurement, Shipping and Receiving Staff.
- Carry out a plan for best practices in supply chain and inventory management that drive results for on hand values and cost down initiatives.
- Support corporate strategic initiatives.
- Approve and audit cycle count process / results.
- Step in and aid team members as necessary (new customer introductions, other large or complex projects).
- Create positive relationships with both internal and external customers.
- Bring value through your talent to understand and refine business processes.
- Manage Supplier relationships and as applicable participate in broader discussions with key strategic suppliers. This may include handling various issues, initiating / resolution of Supplier Corrective Actions, and Supplier Audits.
The ideal candidate for Supply Chain Leader will have the following skill set:
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management / Operations OR minimum 10 years Supply Chain / Materials Management experience including at least 5 years supervisory experience.
- Experience should include the areas of MRP planning, strategic & tactical purchasing, all facets of inventory management, as well as the required P&L financial acumen to manage business goals.
- Ability to achieve results through people within your scope of responsibility as well as those outside your scope of responsibility.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Continuous Improvement & Lean Manufacturing techniques.
- Experience in EMS (Electronic Manufacturing Services) in preferred, not required.
- Functional industry experience in a multi-location environment (preferably in a complex manufacturing setting).
