A leader in the trade of ethanol and related products has recently expanded into the manufacturing of industrial-grade, beverage-grade, and fuel-grade ethanol and co-products. This facility is part of a larger globally family-owned energy and agricultural trading, suppy and distribution group.
DESCRIPTION
The specialist should have experience in technical and regulatory oversight for supported business products. The individual in this role is responsible for facilitating compliance with local and global regulatory requirements for the production, marketing, and sales for products within the production plant scope. This individual will provide guidance and support to multiple functional teams that develop, produce, market, sell, transport, and store various grades of alcohol and DDGS. Direct interaction with existing and potential customers is expected. This role reports to the plant quality manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Have comprehensive understanding of current regulatory climate globally as related to plant products be proactive on up-coming regulatory efforts that can impact plant products.
- Participate in industry associations respective of business markets supported (fuel/beverage/industrial alcohol, DDGS).
- Manage customer requests/questionnaires related to technical or regulatory product status.
- Write, own, and manage product statements of guaranteed compliance for customer distribution, actively updating them as production and/or regulations evolve.
- Own and manage product codes.
- Own and manage production release specifications and/or technical data sheets.
- Manage Safety Data Sheets, Labels.
- Manage TTB compliance and reporting.
- Conduct internal audits related to plant FSSC and GMP+ certifications to ensure adherence with key policies and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in science-related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in technical services, quality control, regulatory affairs.
- Excellent written and communication skills along with developed interpersonal skill.
- Ability to articulate complex regulations into common user language, procedures, and requirements.
- Basic trouble-shooting and high attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
