Summary:
The Quality Assurance Manager will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of sanitation and food safety. Reporting directly to the Quality & Production teams, this position is responsible for ensuring area cleanliness, managing cleaning chemical inventory, and optimizing sanitation efficiency. We are seeking candidates with extensive experience in food sanitation, chemical handling, and food safety. This role will work closely with the QA director to monitor and uphold sanitation standard operating procedures (SSOPs).
The ideal Quality Assurance Manager will have the following skill set:
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years' experience in a Sanitation/Quality environment
- Food or beverage manufacturing
- Knowledge of food safety systems
- PCQI and HACCP- certified, previous experience with CIP systems
- Superior leadership abilities- communication, collaboration, organization
- Bilingual- Spanish is a plus
The Quality Assurance Manager will have the following responsibilities:
- Managing annual sanitation plan, budgets- tracking critical metrics ensuring safety
- Identify ways to improve company's health and safety programs
- Collaborate with Quality, Production and Safety teams to ensure alignment
- Utilize CIP systems effectively
- Implement training measures that meet compliance with regulatory requirements
- Ensure daily cleaning of the plant and timely production schedules
- Audit and report non-compliance issues, taking corrective actions as needed
- Lead regular sanitation meetings with the Operations team
