The Quality & Food Safety Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all products and processes meet the company's quality standards and comply with food safety regulations. The manager will lead a team of quality and food safety professionals to implement and maintain quality systems, manage audits, and identify and resolve quality and food safety issues. The successful candidate will have experience in quality management, food safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop, implement and maintain a comprehensive quality management system (QMS) that meets regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Manage food safety programs, including Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Provide training to employees on quality and food safety requirements, processes, and procedures.
- Lead and manage internal and external audits, including coordinating corrective actions, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Continuously monitor quality and food safety metrics, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive corrective actions to address issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, supply chain, and R&D, to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives and optimize processes.
- Manage quality and food safety documentation, including record-keeping, data analysis, and reporting.
- Manage a team of quality and food safety professionals, including coaching, training, and performance management.
- Bachelor's degree in food science, microbiology, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in quality management, food safety, and regulatory compliance in the food industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and industry standards, including HACCP and GMPs.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing cross-functional teams, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and identify trends to drive continuous improvement.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
