Have you always wanted to work for a developing and innovate pharmaceutical manufacturing company? They are looking for a Purchasing Manager to work on site in their Frederick, Maryland office. You will be tasked with effectively coordinating, organizing, and overseeing all activities involved in the identification and acquisition of the materials and equipment needed for their Research and Development Center. You will also oversee all of the purchasing for the company's Maryland location.
You will be responsible forโฆ
- Negotiating pricing for products and deliveries with suppliers, vendors, and/or shipping companies
- Prepare and process orders as well as develop and maintain detailed inventories of suppliers and materials
- Collaborate with neighboring departments and stakeholders to maintain materials and equipment needed to keep the organization running
- Monitor suppliers performance to ensure they are reaching the quality and standards of the company
- Uphold the company's value and mission through accountability, quality, integrity, and teamwork
Minimum Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in business or related field or related work experience
- 3+ years as a manager or similar position preferably in pharmaceuticals R&D strongly preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills to maintain quality relationships with all suppliers, vendors, shippers, and customers
- Highly organized, result driven problem solver
- Preferably experience in purchasing lab equipment
