Summary:
The Production Supervisor - Will coordinate the quality, delivery and cost activities for the assigned department or shift to meet department schedules and targets. To improve systems utilized to achieve department and plant goals. To support and maintain a safe and secure workplace for the assigned department or shift.
The Production Supervisor - should have the following skill set:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- High School Diploma or nationally recognized equivalent required
- A minimum of three years in an applicable work / industry environment
- A minimum of one year in leadership role
- Demonstrated understanding and effective utilization of Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Demonstrated proficiency in a business enterprise system, SAP preferred
- Self starter with the ability to make critical decisions with limited data
- Good verbal and written business communication skills
- Understanding of production processes, scheduling, and workflow
- Ability to meet schedules
The Production Supervisor - will:
- Monitor systems to assure outgoing quality meets standards
- Monitor systems to schedule production, coordinate workforce and equipment to meet schedules
- Monitor labor costs and supply expenses
- Lead problem solving teams
- Mentor employees in continuous improvement and problem solving skills and implement improvement suggestions
- Apply lean principles and tools
- Monitor conformance to safety and environmental standards
