Production Planning Manager required for Global Chemicals Firm

A $15b Chemicals Firm is seeking a Production Planning Manager to join their Plant Leadership Team.
The Production Planning Manager will oversee the entire Production Plan including the Production scheduling for packaging and blending manufacturing, raw material planning, inventory management, capacity planning, imports/exports, and warehousing.
The Production Planning Manager will have the following responsibilities:
- Lead 5+ members of the Plant Production Planning team to successfully execute inventory management and production planning
- Manage raw material and finished goods Inventory to ensure optimized levels for delivering working capital targets
- Collaborate with other members of the Plant Leadership team to maximize efficiency of Supply Chain Processes including warehouse stock levels, inventory, raw material levels and change management
- Monitor procurement (direct and indirect) and manufacturing planning activities within scope of role
- Work closely with Corporate Planning team (out of state) to generate, share and implement Best Practices relevant to planning
- Act as local SME for accuracy and effectiveness around inventory management by leading cycle count, inventory turns, and raw material processes
- Monitor inventory levels of finished goods and raw material and making adjustments to reduce slow moving and obsolete inventory
The ideal candidate will have the following skill set:
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or similar field
- 7+ years' hands-on experience within Supply Chain Planning relevant to Manufacturing, Distribution, Production Control, Inventory Management and Logistics
- Speciality Chemicals Industry Experience a plus
- Experience in a Manufacturing setting a plus, but not required
- Proven success in coaching, leading, and developing a team of multiple direct reports
- Tactical ERP/MRP experience required, SAP experience strongly preferred
- Superior oral and written communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects across various functional areas within an organization
- Ability to prove as a cross-functional leader in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- TPM or Lean Manufacturing Experience strongly preferred
