A leading food manufacturer is in need of a Plant Quality Assurance Supervisor
Job Title: Plant Compliance Officer
Location: Greater Yakima, WA
Summary:
A multimillion-dollar leading producer of consumer food products is seeking a Plant Quality Assurance Supervisor to maintain their facility's internal quality. The position reports to the QA/Technical Services Manager and will supervise the Document Control Specialist. This QA Supervisor will help oversee all audits and compliance throughout the Washington Facility. This Supervisor will work closely with both quality, CI and Manufacturing teams.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily/monthly plant inspections ensuring compliance
- Provide training to employees to maintain food safety and quality parameters
- Develop/lead improvement projects as business dictates
- Works cross functionally to develop an effective sanitation program
- Conduct investigations of customer complaints and determine root cause
- Back up QA Supervisor and Manager as needed
Qualifications:
- 2+ year supervisory experience
- Bachelor of Science Preferred
- Working knowledge of quality auditing
- Functional knowledge of federal/local quality regulations
- Certifications for Preventative Controls for Human Food, HACCP, GFSI, Food Defense for Intentional Adulteration and Acidified Foods highly preferred
