This client is seeking an ambitious and collaborative Operations Supervisor to lead their operations team. This role involves guiding production, handling planned and unplanned events, managing performance, and fostering positive employee relations in food/beverage production.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and direct the operations team to meet production schedules
- Manage planned and unplanned events
- Ensure safety, quality, and cost-effective manufacturing
- Train, develop, and appraise team members
- Monitor and report on business, quality, safety, and performance metrics
- Coordinate daily crew schedules
- Oversee paperwork flow in food processes
Qualifications:
- BS/BA in business administration, industrial engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Extensive knowledge of operations, processes, and machinery
- General management, business skills, and HR policies understanding
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills
- Basic computer knowledge
- Understanding of and adherence to the Union contract
