Job Overview:
As the Category Manager for MRO and CAPEX within the healthcare industry, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing the sourcing and procurement of goods and services in these critical categories. You will be responsible for developing and executing category strategies, negotiating contracts, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring that our MRO and CAPEX requirements align with the company's mission of providing excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Category Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive category strategies for MRO and CAPEX, considering healthcare regulations, patient safety, and business objectives.
Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers in the healthcare sector to ensure the availability of high-quality medical equipment and supplies, negotiate favorable terms, and ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
Cost Optimization: Continuously identify cost-saving opportunities while adhering to strict quality and regulatory requirements through strategic sourcing, competitive bidding, and supplier negotiations.
Contract Management: Negotiate, draft, and manage contracts with healthcare suppliers to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, risk mitigation, and favorable terms and conditions.
Market Analysis: Stay informed about healthcare industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to make informed decisions and recommendations.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, finance, and facility management teams, to understand their requirements and align procurement strategies accordingly.
Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and report on category performance, cost savings, and supplier performance, with a strong focus on patient safety.
Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure that all procurement activities comply with relevant healthcare regulations and manage risks associated with the category.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare procurement, with a focus on MRO and CAPEX categories.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and standards.
- Proficiency in healthcare procurement software and tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a commitment to patient safety.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional healthcare team environment.
