Our client is looking for a Materials Manager to sit in their Louisville/Lexington plant. The Materials Manager will be serving a dynamic role responsible for supplier management and material flow. The Materials Manager will be responsible for:
- Direct reports, up to 10
- Ensure strategic and operational reports and metrics are available to share with others in the business as and when required
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline
- Strong communication skills (written & verbal)
- Strong organization skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Creating new strategic supplier relationships and existing supplier relationship management
- Design and implement KPIs that meet business objectives
The Ideal Candidate will have:
- 4+ years experience in the heavy manufacturing industry (automotive and aerospace preferred)
- Experience working for Tier 1 Supplier
- Advanced proficiency in analytical and reporting tools (MS Excel, Oracle, or SAP) is strongly desired
- Experience managing large teams in high volume manufacturing
