We are looking for a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer with strong project management expertise to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in capital expenditure (CapEx) projects, engineering processes, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role will play a key part in enhancing manufacturing efficiency, optimizing production systems, and ensuring the successful execution of engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management: Lead and manage engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
CapEx Planning: Develop and oversee CapEx projects, including cost estimation, justification, and execution, to enhance manufacturing capabilities and capacity.
Process Optimization: Analyze manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement, implementing best practices to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
Continuous Improvement: Champion continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
Technical Support: Provide engineering support to production teams, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to equipment and processes.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and supply chain, to align engineering efforts with operational goals.
Documentation: Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including project plans, process flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Training and Development: Develop and deliver training programs for staff to enhance skills and knowledge related to new processes and technologies.
Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of engineering initiatives and report on progress.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, with strong project management skills.
- Proven experience managing CapEx projects and familiarity with budgeting processes.
- Strong knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a detail-oriented mindset.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
- Proficiency in engineering software and tools (e.g., CAD, ERP systems).
