Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Morton, IL On-site
Salary: $60,000-$80,000
Position Summary:
At Pursuit Aerospace, this role focuses on developing, evaluating, and improving industrial manufacturing methods for complex fabrication and precision machined components used in gas turbine engines. The role involves analyzing and optimizing manufacturing processes, equipment, and workflows to enhance efficiency and quality across various sectors, including aviation, power generation, marine, rotary wing, and unmanned aerial vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use CAD/CAM systems (e.g., NX, UG, SolidWorks, Catia) to design and modify parts.
- Operate CNC machines and write detailed work instructions.
- Apply shop mathematics for precise measurements and calculations.
- Handle sheet metal fabrication, machining, and welding tasks.
- Conduct inspections and use special processes like plasma coatings and laser drilling.
- Prepare and maintain reports and correspondence using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Communicate effectively with staff at all organizational levels.
Requirements & Qualifiactions
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- 2 years in manufacturing or a related industry.
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM systems (NX, UG, SolidWorks, Catia), CNC machines, shop mathematics, and sheet metal fabrication, machining, or welding.
- Familiarity with inspection methods and special processes like plasma coatings, laser drilling, and airflow measurements.
- Ability to write reports, correspond effectively, and communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Legally able to work in the applicable country.
