Job Title: Plant Maintenance Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Maintenance Manager to join our team in the Food and Beverage industry. As the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of maintenance operations, ensuring the smooth functioning and reliability of equipment, machinery, and facilities. Your expertise in maintenance management will contribute to the efficient and uninterrupted production of our food and beverage products, maintaining compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance program for all equipment, machinery, and facilities in the food and beverage production plant.
- Oversee a team of maintenance technicians and other staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal performance and productivity.
- Develop and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and timely procurement of necessary equipment and supplies.
- Establish and maintain preventive maintenance schedules, conducting regular inspections and implementing appropriate maintenance procedures to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability.
- Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to identify and address maintenance-related issues that may affect product quality or production efficiency.
- Manage and coordinate the repair and maintenance of equipment, coordinating with external vendors or contractors as needed, and ensuring timely resolution of any equipment breakdowns or malfunctions.
- Develop and implement safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for maintenance staff and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including equipment logs, repair records, and inventory management.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in maintenance technology, recommending and implementing improvements and upgrades to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovative ideas and initiatives to enhance maintenance processes and overall plant performance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field. Relevant certifications or equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Proven experience (minimum 5 years) as a Maintenance Manager or in a similar maintenance leadership role, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance principles, practices, and techniques, with expertise in troubleshooting and repairing a variety of equipment and machinery.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team of maintenance technicians.
- Solid understanding of safety regulations and compliance requirements in the food and beverage industry.
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or other maintenance software.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with different stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
- Flexibility to work outside regular business hours and be available for emergency maintenance situations when required.
