Today one of the leading Life Science Manufacturer is looking for a LSSBB to be a subject matter expert in Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methods and techniques throughout a Brand-New facility. The LSSBB will be responsible for the development, training, communication, leadership and deployment of the lean manufacturing and continuous improvement strategy throughout the Facility.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced operational excellence/continuous improvement professional to work in a hands-on, start-up environment.
The LSSBB will have the following responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Champion a continuous improvement culture and provide expertise and leadership on Lean Principles and Problem Solving to all employees, at all levels, across the organization.
- Work with Operational Excellence Director to establish and build the site's operational excellence program, integrating Lean and Six Sigma programs. Vital focus will be on ensuring projects and OpEx approach are fully integrated within the organization.
- Identify where continuous improvement systems are required to optimize manufacturing and transactional processes
- Design and implement solutions that ensure systems are designed for scalability and sustainability.
- Work with the entire organization to streamline processes and drive transformation to a culture significantly focused on value for the customer, and rigorous continuous improvement
- Utilize operational excellence methodology to drive sustainable manufacturing and business process improvements that optimize capacity, reduce lead-time, minimize inventories, and maximize fill-rates, process flow, and productivity.
- Partner with the training department to develop and deliver programs to teach the workforce on lean manufacturing tools and concepts such as problem solving, A3/A4 management, leader as coach, Kanban, Kaizen, Value Stream mapping, 5S, Gemba walks, visual management, lean conversion and pull.
- Lead process of selecting projects that align with financial goals, KPIs and strategies, and concurrently track projects with Site Management.
- Facilitate Kaizen events and other improvement projects.
The ideal LSSBB will have the following skill set:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science or Business-related discipline required; advanced degree preferred.
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification is required
- Minimum of 4 years of hands-on manufacturing operations experience
- Minimum of 5years' experience:
- Leading teams in a regulated manufacturing environment
- Leading the application of Lean Six Sigma tools
- Influencing with indirect or no authority
