We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of Site Purchasing to join our client in the Packaging sector. As the Head of Site Purchasing, you will be responsible for managing and directing the purchasing team to ensure the procurement of goods and services meet the needs of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Direct and manage the purchasing team to ensure the procurement of goods and services meet the needs of the business.
* Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
* Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
* Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
* Manage the procurement budget and ensure cost savings are achieved.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure procurement needs are met.
* Provide leadership and guidance to the purchasing team.
Mandatory Skills:
* Directs and Indirects procurement experience.
* Experience in Essen, Germany.
* Experience in the Plastics and Packaging sector.
* Strong knowledge of procurement processes and procedures.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Desirable Skills:
* Experience in managing a team.
* Experience in international procurement.
* Experience in managing procurement budgets.
* Experience in implementing procurement strategies.
