A global electronic components company is searching for a director-level Head of Advanced Engineering for its continuous growth as a supplier for its clients within automotive, hardware and consumer electronics industries. The position would be reporting to their VP of Engineering and is a rare opportunity for clear and focused career growth.
Your tasks
- Development of technology roadmap, liaising with operations, marketing and other departments for a clear strategy for innovation and product development
- Facilitate performance and strategy analysis and using it to further develop and adapt such roadmaps
- Work in projects concerning the development of new products and services offered by the organisation to its end-clients
- Grow and lead multinational team spread between Asia, North America and Europe
- Gathering data, identifying opportunities for improvement and development of solutions within processes, driving efficiency and growth
- Continue the company's transition into a fully digital enterprise
Your profile
- Innovator with strong background in R&D and/or Design/Advanced Engineering, preferably within electronic components
- Experience with MEMS and semiconductors desirable
- Leadership experience with multi-site teams, preferably internationally, a great advantage
- Ideally PhD-level educated, but Masters with the right experience also considered
- Track record of quantifiable performance improvement across functional areas
- Ambitious and focused, experience in stakeholder management and cooperation at corporate level
- Fluent English, German, French or Mandarin an advantage
The position can be based anywhere within Europe, as the team will be mostly remote. Travel is to be expected between 20% and 50% Covid-measures dependent.
