I am currently working with a global leader in the pharmaceutical industry to develop their R&D procurement team in Europe. This person will work closely with the research and develop team to manage procurement activities, ultimately supporting product development efforts. The right candidate will be a hard-working, ambitious individual capable of managing complex supplier relationships. This role is available in a number of European locations.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with R&D team to understand procurement needs for upcoming projects
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials and components
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure favourable terms and pricing
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without sacrificing quality or performance
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes in regulations related to medical device procurement
- Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements
Requirements:
- Multiple years professional experience in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry
- Strong knowledge of medical device manufacturing processes and regulations
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills; professionally fluency in English is essential, other languages are beneficial but not required
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; ability to manage cross-functional projects
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed
